This copy is printed by Benoit Duplain, the authorized Lyon publisher, and retains the publisher's signature used to distinguish genuine editions from the numerous counterfeit printings that appeared during the book's remarkable popularity. It remains bound in its contemporary full calf binding with raised bands, gilt-decorated spine, and original red morocco title label.
